What is icLens?
icLens is a console for Internet Computer canisters. It has two parts:
- The console runs in your browser. Inspect any canister, change its settings, deploy code, take snapshots and top it up.
- An Agent is a canister you own. It watches your canisters around the clock, keeps their history, alerts your team and tops them up when they run low.
Start without an account
Section titled “Start without an account”Paste any canister ID into the search on Home. You see its code, controllers, subnet and live calls straight away, with no sign-in. Save canisters you care about to your personal list in this browser.
Sign in when you want to change a canister you control.
Add an Agent when you need more
Section titled “Add an Agent when you need more”An Agent turns a list of canisters into a fleet you can run as a team:
| You want to… | With an Agent |
|---|---|
| See history, not just the current state | Metrics, logs and traces, kept for as long as you choose |
| Know when something goes wrong | Alert rules, availability checks, and alerts in Slack or any webhook |
| Never run out of cycles | Automatic top-ups from one Reserve, within limits you set |
| Work as a team | A shared canister list, roles, and an audit trail |
| See what your users see | Web Vitals, errors and requests from your website’s visitors |
The Agent keeps working when every browser is closed. It only does what you configure, and every change it makes goes through the same review as yours.
Your data stays yours
Section titled “Your data stays yours”Hosted monitoring copies your telemetry onto someone else’s servers. With icLens, the Agent, its stores and every frontend collector are canisters you control, on the network your app already runs on. Read more.
