Work an alert
Open Monitor › Alerts to see what’s firing. Filter by Firing, Pending or Resolved, or by canister. Firing alerts also appear in your Inbox.
-
Open the alert. Its chart shows the readings that made it fire, with the threshold drawn in.
-
Check the facts. The condition, when it was last read, and which receivers were notified.
-
Act. For a low-cycles alert, choose Top up to fund the canister now, or Set up automatic top-up so it doesn’t happen again. Open rule to change the condition.
Opening an alert or a top-up review sends nothing. A top-up uses the same review as anywhere else, and checks live balances before you confirm.
What the detail shows
Section titled “What the detail shows”- History: every time this alert fired and resolved.
- Observation details: the canister, when it was read, and whether the reading was fresh.
- Rule notifications: what the rule sent, and when.
Resolved means resolved
Section titled “Resolved means resolved”An alert resolves only when fresh readings show the condition no longer holds. A canister that stops answering stays firing, marked as missing data, rather than looking fixed.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- If Monitor is off, Alerts says so, with Open Overview to start it.
- Refresh alerts reads the latest state. Alerts also update after each Monitor round.
- An automatic top-up whose result is unclear is held, never retried on its own. Interrupted payments.
