Pay from your wallet
icLens never holds your money. When you top up or create a canister, OISY pays the Internet Computer’s own services directly, and you approve each payment in OISY.
Your wallet and your sign-in
Section titled “Your wallet and your sign-in”- Internet Identity signs you in to icLens and proves you control your canisters.
- OISY is the wallet that pays. Connect it from the payment review or Settings › Account and wallet.
Paying for a canister doesn’t make you its controller.
Pay with ICP
Section titled “Pay with ICP”Your ICP goes to the network’s cycles minting canister, which converts it and delivers cycles to the target. The review shows the current rate, so the cycles received are an estimate until the payment completes.
Pay with cycles
Section titled “Pay with cycles”If you already hold cycles, the exact amount you enter is delivered. OISY first approves the payment, then icLens sends the cycles.
Read the review
Section titled “Read the review”| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Per canister | What each target receives. |
| Network fees | The ledger fees for this payment. |
| Total debit | Everything your wallet pays. |
icLens adds no charge of its own. If a fee or the rate changes while you’re reviewing, icLens shows both and asks you to confirm the new numbers.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Switching network disconnects OISY. Connect it again for the network you chose.
- When creating a canister, the subnets you can choose depend on how you pay. Choose a subnet.
- Each payment is written to this browser before you approve it, so an interrupted one can be finished later.
