Ask the AI assistant
The Assistant explains what your Agent sees: why a balance is falling, what changed before an alert, what to check next. Every answer cites its evidence. It never acts on its own.
-
Open the page you’re asking about, such as a canister, and set the time range.
-
Open the Assistant with the sparkle button in the top bar. On a phone, it’s under More.
-
Ask. For example: “Why is this canister’s balance falling faster this week?”
-
Follow the citations. Each numbered marker opens the evidence it cites.
The Assistant sees the page you’re on, the canister and the time range. Your Agent adds its own metrics, Timeline events and alerts for that period. Logs are never included unless your Admin allows it and you pick the lines.
Draft an alert rule
Section titled “Draft an alert rule”Choose Draft a rule and describe the alert, such as “warn me when cycles drop below 5 TC”. The Assistant proposes a rule; an Admin chooses Review in Monitor to check it, pick receivers and save. Nothing is saved until then.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- You need Read-write or Admin, and an Admin must turn the Assistant on in Agent › AI.
- Each question counts toward your daily limit. The line under the field shows how many you’ve used.
- A citation shows what the answer is based on, not that every conclusion is right. An answer without valid citations is marked uncited.
- The Assistant runs on the Internet Computer’s LLM service, outside your Agent. Don’t paste secrets into it.
- New conversation starts fresh. A conversation never crosses workspaces or canisters.
